Cochon 555

Five Chefs.  Five Pigs.  Five Winemakers.  One oinking afternoon.

Washingtonians pigged out Sunday as the annual Cochon 555 took over the West End Ritz.  Innovative chefs from five area restaurants featured their fanciest fixins – from blood sausage to pork tacos and everything in between.

Bibiana‘s Nicholas Stefanelli concocted 18 dishes to compete with Vidalia’s RJ Cooper, returning to defend his ‘Prince of Porc’ title for the third year.  But it was David Varley of Bourbon Steak who ultimately took home the title, creating delicious dishes of sweets and swine, chosen by the bacon lovers in attendance.

Power to the porkers!
