Christina Albina: “Fashion Fades, But Style Remains the Same”

by Casey Valerie Linsey
Fashion industry insiders Christina and Natalia Albina are two sisters with a passion for sharing unique and classic pieces of wearable art with Washington’s stylish set.
The stylish duo wowed DC on Wednesday evening with the debut of their latest project: Fashion Fusion – When Art & Fashion Collide at Georgetown’s L2 Lounge. The event, which showcased the sisters’ meticulously curated Style Etoile collection of Spring and Summer 2011 pieces, also featured exquisite oil and pastel works by Ben Ferry.
Christina Albina’s best advice to Washington fashionistas?  “Consider buying the specialty pieces that work with what everybody already has in their wardrobe.” (Special does not equal trendy, she warns!) On the contrary, “new and exciting pieces can be recycled” because “fashion fades, but style remains the same.”
