Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. “Power corrupts…and absolute power corrupts absolutely,” quoted Chris Matthews at the DC premier of “Casino Jack” Wednesday evening at the Landmark E Street Theatre.

On hand to conduct a Q &A with actor Kevin Spacey, the political show host wasn’t shy about making predictions for the next break-out scandal star, quipping “it’ll probably be a Republican because they are back in power.”

“Perks of power is where the temptation lies… If you come without a moral compass, you’re not going to get one here.”
