The Willard Intercontinental Hotel celebrates 200 years this year, and among the historic happenings available at this iconic DC gathering place is the renewed offering of its monthly History Happy Hours.

Held on the third Thursday of every month, the Willard’s History Happy Hours are two-hour three-cocktail events that distill American history through drinks, while also providing attendees a hands-on class on the art of cocktail making.
Typically led by Jim Hewes, a venerable mixologist and legendary bartender at The Willard’s iconic Round Robin Bar for over thirty years, and featuring rotating historians, History Happy Hour offers both a a mixology and history lesson.
It’s an exciting event where every drink tells a story.
