Celebrate to Educate

Last night at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel, the most well-dressed crowd in Washington gathered together to celebrate education and the work of the Lazarus Foundation.

Highlights of the evening were the selection of the attendee-chosen “best dressed” awards, which won $500 gift certificates to Bloomingdale‘s (women) and Zegna (men), a raffle for a trip for two to Jamaica – we were only 1 number off!!! – and a brief keynote given by Vernice Armour, America’s first African American female combat pilot.
At left, Pamela takes pictures of Tiffany Carter and Paula Mendoza before selecting her best-dressed choices.

Amer Ahmed, Matt Lowe and his mother, always willing to help a worthy cause.

Dr. Mark Drapeau and Kathleen Kenney just met, but they are already complimenting each others’ sense of style.

The first cocktail party fundraising event held by the Lazarus Foundation will be followed by a golf tournament held in Montego Bay, Jamaica in May.
