Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Casino Tables Now Tempt at Maryland Live!

The tables went live last Thursday morning. So… apologies if you have no money left. Too jealous if, instead, your weekend was full of winnings.

Maryland’s obsession with casino gambling used to cross the great divide… into nearby West Virginia, that is. But late last year — as you may remember from the barrage of TV ads both for and against — the Free State unveiled its own 24 hour spot for games and gambling, Maryland Live!

Less than 45 minutes from DC, in Hanover, Maryland Live! has the closest slots action to the nation’s Capital, and is the first MD casino to take advantage of the most recent state regulation that allows all day operations — and alcohol around the clock.

Table games are the newest temptation.
