Capitol Crowns … then Let Their Hair Down

Striking a fun pose with Miss America

Miss America 2011, Teresa Scanlon, and over a dozen of her state titleholder sisters received guests at the Capitol Hill Club Tuesday night, holding a festive fundraiser in support of the Miss America and local Miss DC Scholarship Programs.

“Each day of the trip has been so full of excitement for me — it is every time I come to Washington, D.C!”  shared Scanlon as she recounted her day’s events in between posing for pictures. “After today, I’m really excited to be going to [Wednesday night’s] Correspondent’s Dinner.”  Scanlon and her court spent the day on Capitol Hill, touring the House and Senate, meeting state lawmakers and petitioning for personal causes before dolling up for a night of networking.

Toasting and tasting at Dirty Martini

After the beauties’ night of cocktail party banter, they (sans Scanlon) headed to Dupont’s Dirty Martini to relax, dig into some sliders and calamari, and dish about their day.
