Anyone who has lived in DC more than a hand-full of years knows that Spring is the District’s most fleeting season. Too often, right as the cherry blossoms wane, the heat of Summer has fully descended, bringing with it the steamy hot humidity we’ve come to love and hold hear to our hearts. (Sorry – South Floridian still recovering from Winter here!)

This year, Spring has graced us with her presence well through May, giving Washingtonians and Café Dupont a reason to celebrate!

Seasonal offerings from the café’s and bar’s Spring menus were showcased during a special presentation by Executive Chef David Fritsche this week.  The preview included a selection of everything from spicy sips (Hemingway’s Fury – made with jalapeño tequila) to warm bites (Spring Soup – made with cream of fresh garden peas.)

Our personal favorite? The #BBT&T! Made with Tanqueray gin, muddled blueberries, basil, lime, and tonic – it’s perfect for any Spring day.

*Café Dupont is located at 1500 New Hampshire Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20036.
