How many people get to wear sweatpants, a long sleeve L.L.Bean shirt, slippers and cotton socks from Marks and Spencer as a uniform to work everyday? New York Times bestselling author, Daniel Silva is one of the lucky few. Every morning he religiously puts on this uniform before going down to his home office and writing his daily 1000 words.
These kinds of interesting details about Silva’s habits and books were revealed this Thursday at Sixth & I Synagogue as Silva was interviewed by Jamie Gangel, a NBC Today Show National Correspondent — who also happens to be his wife!
The talk centered on his writing process, literary inspirations and his new book, The English Girl, before guests clamored to have their books signed.
Becoming a writer was his lifelong goal, Silva explained. “I was blessed because I knew what I wanted to do very early on, and I used journalism as a path to get there – just like Hemmingway did.”
