Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Beer Week is Back!

“This year’s DC Beer Week is going to be epic,” says DCBW co-founder Teddy Folkman. “The craft beer scene in the DC area is blowing up right now, with the addition of some amazing local breweries and a group of restaurants, bars, and distributors who are really dedicated to spreading the gospel about craft beer.  We have some exciting events planned that will make this year’s Beer Week bigger and better than ever before.”

So the 4th annual DC Beer Week is getting all hopped up, returning to the District with a variety educational and tasting events planned throughout the week of August 12 – 18, 2012.

Beer or bust week kicks off with a Craft Beer Dinner Cruise along the Potomac River (50+ craft beers from 40+ breweries, a dinner buffet, DJ, dancing and breathtaking views of DC landmarks from the deck of the Odyssey luxury yacht) and continues with events like a special DC Beer Week Saison collaboration of six local craft breweries and other fun and frothy events all week.
