It has been 102 years since Kentucky’s Peerless Distilling Co has produced its Single Barrel Bourbon. But the century wait is over!
The distillery is back in action, starting with a single barrel that produced 233 750ml bottles, which will be available exclusively at Mastro’s locations — including ours in DC.
The steakhouse is the first restaurant in the country to collaborate with Peerless after its hundred year hiatus, and is rewarded with the first tastes. The result of the collaboration — available now — is a 107 proof, named “Chocolate Oak” for its distinctive notes of dark chocolate and spice.
To commemorate the release, Mastro’s is offering patrons indulgent pours, flights and specialty cocktails, as well as decadent dishes that pair perfectly with the long awaited Single Barrel Bourbon.
