Art Late Night, Amour at First Sight

All of the Greats were there.  Monet, van Gogh, Picasso, Renoir, Cezanne, Chagall, Rodin, Miro, Moore, Kandinsky, Ardon…   and a great crowd of francophile Washingtonians mingling amongst them.

Washington’s Alliance Francaise hosted the first ever AFTER HOURS at the Kreeger Museum Thursday evening, hosting hundreds of DC’s fun-seeking French (not required) to a late night at the museum which  included guided tours – en Francais!, dancing to tunes spun by DJ Herve, create-your-own sculpture projects, and an open bar with some of France’s finest.

This rare and intimate introduction to the the Kreeger Museum, a private, non-profit art museum located in the former residence of David and Carmen Kreeger,  showcased the Kreegers’ permanent collection of 19th and 20th century paintings and sculptures.

Reservations required for weekday visits, open without reservations Saturday, 10 – 4.
