And the Next Big Late Night Show Host is… Arsenio Hall

You may remember him from his time on Celebrity Apprentice in 2012, or from his legendary performance in Coming to America alongside Eddie Murphy; but Arsenio Hall was a late-night talk show staple in the early 90s, and after a 17-year hiatus, he’ll be back this Fall with The Arsenio Hall Show.

“I want my show to look like, ‘He’s been there,’ but it’s evolved and changed,” explained Hall at a press event on Tuesday night hosted at the CW-50 in Georgetown. “I’m the same guy—maybe a little smarter, IMG_6464maybe a little more mature—and the bottom line is: the landscape of pop, hop, and television—and the world of politics—has changed.”

“Whoever plays saxophone now, will get his *** on my show,” he joked.

So according to President of Sales at CBS Television Distribution Joe DiSalvo, “On September 9… we will have the next big breakout franchise hit in late night television hosted by Mr. Arsenio Hall.”
