TV’s America’s Most Wanted John Walsh wasn’t the biggest fan of Facebook at Tuesday morning’s Teen Safety Online panel discussion.
According to Walsh, there is a Facebook FAIL when it comes to protecting children from predators. The more users Facebook has, the more money it makes, suggested Walsh, who further argued that this monetary issue causes Facebook to “hide behind First Amendment rights” in not divulging sexual predators.
In conjunction with social media expert/ blogger James Andrews, US teens and online writers, Walsh discussed how he turned a personal tragedy into an unrelenting celebrated passion – advocating for child safety – and how he continues that work today, teaching Internet safety and the need to report cyber bullying.
