Academy Pop-Ups Talk, Taste ‘State of Wine’

With over 230 wineries in Virginia — oenophiles could find trying local wine daunting.

But the Washington Wine Academy took out all of the guess work by procuring the best Virginia wines and bringing them to pop up tastings in the DC area. The most recent pop up happened earlier this month and featured nine top notch wineries such as RDV, Barboursville, Linden, Pearmund and Trump Winery… to name just a bunch of great ‘graperies.’

Without having to make a trip out to wine country, attendees whet their whistle for some of Virginia’s finest — with more to come!   The Wine Academy announced plans to host more pop ups in 2014.
