It was a party in pink last Saturday evening at the Georgetown Ritz-Carlton as We Will Survive Cancer and CharityChicks US hosted their 2nd Annual VIP Pink Party.  Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, the organizations again joined forces to support a local non-profit that supports cancer patients — this year the Children’s Inn at NIH.

“We want to create a day for these little girls to forget about their treatments, and just be free,” said We Will Survive Cancer’s Gayela Bynum, honoring a few lucky little girls from the Inn who made a personal appearance to enjoy the night’s “Art, Culture & All Things Pink” theme.

The party, which boasted trendsetters in fashion, and other young changemakers as attendees, offered all proceeds to the Inn.

“I hope that from our events more young people are inspired to be a part of the change they wish to see,” said CharityChicks’ Elizabeth Kane.   “Two years ago this party was just an idea, and now it is an annual event that is giving these children and their families something to look forward to.”
