A Shelter House Hoedown

“I’m determined to ride the mechanical bull by the end of the night. That is, if you bid on it!” teased Patricia Harrison, Fairfax County Deputy County Executive, Saturday night at the Fairfax Hunt Club during Shelter House‘s annual Hoedown fundraiser.

The event, a casino/auction/bullriding BBQ — also included dinner and dancing — to support the programs of this non-profit to serve the homeless community in Fairfax, VA.

Guests enjoyed a boot-stompin’ good time and secured the commitment of community partners, including Capital One Bank, for future support.

“Shelter House depends on community support to provide families with the wide array of services needed to help them return to stable family life. Events such as this year’s hoedown help us raise critical funds that enable Shelter House to respond rapidly and appropriately to the families in need in Fairfax County,” said Ronald Redmond, President of Shelter House’s Board of Directors.
