A Reel Place for the Obscure

Well it took a lot of green, but Josh Levin and Jamie Shor have brought back some of DC’s silver screen.  Re-opening an abandoned movie theatre that closed almost 7 years ago, the duo celebrated the renovation of West End Cinema late last week.

The small theatre, comprised of three screens collectively seating just over 200, is located at 23rd and M Street NW and will feature food, cocktails, and indie films not found elsewhere in Washington.

Opening weekend flicks included documentaries “Gerrymandering” and “Budrus” and the drama “Howl.”
