Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. A PJ Glam Gals’ Afternoon Out for the Tigerlily Foundation

Saturday afternoon at the Embassy Suites in Northwest Washington, girls donned their jammies for a PJ Glam Gals’ Afternoon Out to benefit breast cancer patients helped by the Tigerlily Foundation.

Foundation founder Maimah Karmo‘s daughter Noelle spearheaded the effort, gathering girlfriends for an event filled with glam sessions, nail painting, makeovers, Wii game playing, styling, dress up, dancing, pillow fighting, and more.

The very pink and purposeful event was co-Hosted by Miss District of Columbia 2012, Allyn Rose, an advocate for breast health, and was attended by other beauty queens and glam gals from all over the city.
