A Fresh Take: What’s in Style for Spring

Trend setters enjoyed early morning mimosas with a menu side of style as they flocked to Neiman Marcus in Tyson’s Galleria for a beauty brunch last Saturday morning.  Between bites, representatives gushed about the season’s greatest, including these Top Ten Spring Trends:

Tickled Pink.  Rose colored glasses – and all other clothes and accessories – make a comeback this season.  From pale to hot, these pinks are all about the pretty.

Fancy Pants.  Colors and patterns are big below the belt.

Clutch. Not just for night, clutches are now clutch during the daytime as well.  Our folio favorite, the envelope style, is a cove worthy classic.

Peplums.  These flared ruffles have some ladylike power, creating a smart silhouette that accentuates womanly curves.

Be All Ears. Well, not all ears. But the focus this season is on fancy earrings.  Give your lobes a little statement luxury.

Prints.  Vibrant, swirling head-to-toe patterned prints in oversized florals, geometric shapes and futuristic ikats dominated the runways and should be part of your reality.

Tribal and Animal Prints.  Be internationally inspired… or just have well traveled threads.  African has been awesome for a few seasons, and continues for Spring.  Update your animal accessories by replacing your leopard and cheetah prints with zebra.

Yellow.  It’s the new neutral… at least for those who think on the bright side.  Or if you’re too yellow for yellow, let orange or tangerine be your citrus of choice.

Jeans.  Animal print, neon, pastel.  However you choose to dress your denim, this season, they’re anything but just jeans.

Sports.  Don’t break a sweat, sporty-chic has major sex appealGet your swagger on with jersey tees, updated track suits or even scuba inspired sheaths.
