A Bronx Tale

Saturday night I treated myself to a theatrical night out at the Warner Theatre (my first time!). I went to see, ‘A Bronx Tale’ – originally a film, now a touring one man play about a young man growing up in the Bronx with two father figures: one a hard working Sicilian, one a mafia man.

Chazz Palminteri wrote the original screenplay and now stars in the show as “C” (and every other character). He based the main character, Calogero, on himself, and the story is partially the story of his childhood.

One man, alone on stage, for an hour and forty-five minutes with no intermission. What would you expect? Well, it was amazing! And I highly recommend to anyone who needs a night of culture and enlightenment… but I’m not sure I would take the kids.
