(500) Days of… Summer Best DC Date Spots

Thanks to those of you who wrote in with great DC date spot ideas to win tickets to tonight’s screening of the new flick (500) Days of Summer. So what were some of those great date ideas?

Alicia D. suggests picnicing at Screen on the Green, followed by rooftop cocktails at the new W Hotel rooftop when it opens.

Raymond P. thinks you should take in a football or baseball game with your sporty honey.

Amanda A. likes walking around the Tidal Basin and enjoying the beautiful monuments and scenery. Simon Y. thinks Eastern Market is a sure-fire first date spot.

Anthony P. thinks picnicing along the Potomac is romantic. Bike along the C&O Canal out to Great Falls, then back to Georgetown where you can canoe out of Jack’s canoe’s in G’town and spend some time on the water with your sweetheart.

But Anh N. thinks the best DC date idea is touring the monuments at night. “With no tourists bustling about, the moon beaming off the tidal basin and the monuments all pretty and lit up, it can be romantic. Plus for some fun times, you can joke around with your date and make up historical facts about each monument.”
