11th & Monroe’s New Diner Dubbed ‘The Coupe’

It’s a hybrid of Adam’s Morgan’s Tryst, The Diner and Open City… and by the same creators, too.

Opening soon in Columbia Heights, The Coupe is a 7,000 square foot space set to be a community gathering place on the corner of 11th and Monroe.

According to an announcement of the upcoming soft opening released Tuesday, The Coupe will be a combo coffeehouse/diner/lounge/bar — open 24 hours (!!) — and “will offer signature Tryst coffees using a variety of brewing methods, homemade pastries and desserts, a restaurant menu that offers a range of comfort food items throughout the day and night with an added mix of entrees and specials at certain times (eggs, waffles and other diner staples will be served all the time), and a bar program with an emphasis on craft cocktails, an eclectic mix of beers, and a lot of wines by the glass, bottle and on tap.”
